You need to enter a random 7 digit postal code with following format: 120-0012. Once you successfully change your app store country to Japan, you are ready to download the app (link above).

Alternatively you can also create a completely new Apple ID with Japan region and login to that new Apple ID account on your App Store.

Q: The app is in Japanese, how do I navigate it?
A: Download the English translation and navigation guide (link above).

Q: OK I am looking at the guide now and it says I can connect my Tamagotchi M!X to the app. How do I enter the codes?

A: Use a Japanese keyboard. On inputting alphabets and numerics, use the alphabets on Japanese keyboard too, which is considered full-width characters. Do not use the alphabets from regular English keyboard, which is considered half-width characters. That means when you type in letters and numbers, do not change to the English keyboard. Continue to use the Japanese keyboard, and select the alphanumeric character that has the symbol 全 beside it (that means full width characters).
Here is a sample video of how I connect my Tamagotchi M!X to the app.

I have also pasted a sample of all the full width alphanumeric here (notice how the font is different from the regular English, and they are more spaced out) so if you have problem typing it in u can copy paste from here :

1234567890
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Also if you feel uncomfortable using a Japanese keyboard on your phone, you can use this link where you select the Japanese characters you want and then copy paste them: Hiragana KeyboardKatakana Keyboard

Q: I am using an Android phone. It says I can connect my Tamagotchi Meets to the phone app via Bluetooth. I turned on Bluetooth but it is not connecting!

A: You also have to turn on 'Location' in your Settings of your phone.

Tamagotchi Connection V1 Guide Review

A: YES!!!!! Follow the steps in the 'Connecting Guide' (link above).

The Tamagotchi Connection (known as Tamagotchi Connexion in Europe and Tamagotchi Plus in Japan) was the first in a line of updated devices that featured an infrared port that allowed two units to communicate so that the characters could interact with one another. The V1 can be identified by a lack of any sort of antenna, however it is physically indistiguishable from the V2 aside from shell coloration.
The Japanese Tamagotchi Plus was virtually identical to the English-language Connection/Connexion, so its shells are also featured on this page (denoted with a ).
